you don't have expensive plywood in the wall.
I might say what I've experienced. formplyfa in the wall. then you are not stingy.

What type of board "lives" the most? I can imagine that plyfa moves quite a bit with the seasons.

would say that swells the least OSB.
try putting out pieces of OSB, plywood, chipboard in the rain.
believe that plywood and chipboard have absorbed more water.
it's the moisture and drying that cause movement

Plywood holds up better than osb/chipboard. I wouldn't want to hang a kitchen on anything other than plyfa.

I would guess that OSB is the board that moves the most over the seasons, based on the fact that manufacturers recommend leaving a few mm gap between the boards precisely because of movement.

Compare, for example, with particle boards where such gaps are not needed.

My father only has chipboard and there are gaps here and there. And the house has been there for over 30 years.

All wood in walls should really have gaps. Unless you glue it then.

Absolutely horizontal Nail with 63 mm one or two nails
I have horizontal studs 45x45 on the inside of the outer walls, with 17mm raw wood panel, so 45+17= 62 mm will mean that the plastic can be perforated if using too long nails, so on the outer walls I will probably have to settle for 50mm long nails and then vertical raw wood panel

on the inner walls, you can use longer nails and place the raw wood panel horizontally...

Nail gun and galvanized 2.8 x50 - works great.

Regular 2.0 x 50 doesn't hold well.
But screwed OSB/plywood/chipboard is obviously even better. :)

edit: My opinion.

have never used OSB but it seems to be some waste that is only good for hiding behind drywall
Well yes, OSB is to some extent made from waste, in the same way that sausages are made from meat waste. That is, you can use parts of the tree that you normally cannot use. And that's good.

Regarding appearance: when OSB came to Sweden, it was well over twenty years ago, it was used by architects and designers for its appearance. It was new and cool then. (Some might remember that in the seventies there were furniture made of stained chipboard, so that you could really see the structure in the chipboard.)

a couple of kilometers of raw paneling acquired and brought in, so that will probably be it anyway :) the nails will be Biltema's 50mm machine nails (as thick as three-inch but shorter)

I had forgotten that, but you're right, it did exist... I even made a box in that style. In the seventies, that is, in woodshop class. Mom got it.
