OSB and acrylic sealant?

When applying double gypsum on a wall, you can soundproof with acrylic sealant in all gaps and around the first layer of gypsum before applying the second layer of gypsum.

How does it work if you apply OSB and gypsum instead?

Should you also apply sealant around the electrical boxes?
