Hello
We are in discussion regarding noise and privacy protection against a neighboring property.

The choices seem to be between two wooden fences with noise-insulating material in between and a plastered leca wall.

My biggest question is whether anyone has an idea of the cost difference between these options.

We can assume 30 linear meters, 240cm high. No corners.

Other parameters to consider?

Lifespan, noise reduction, etc.

Does soundproofing material help?
I think it's the height that matters. 99% of the sound that hits the wall bounces back, what goes over reaches you.

Is it the neighboring property that is making noise so that you have to build this at the property line?

Isn't it more effective in that case to reduce the noise at the source?
What exactly is making the noise?

There will be a schoolyard for lower and middle school on the other side.
