New Wall - King Stud (double studs)

Hi,
I've seen videos from the USA where they place 2 studs next to each other at the end of a wall or where a door is going to be, is it common to do that in Sweden?

I might build a new wall and I'm thinking it will look like the picture in the link.

Frame continuously according to the sheet size you intend to use, cc450 or 600.
