New "outer-inner" wall in the garage
Hello,
I'm considering adding insulation to my garage so that it can be used during the winter. It is built with aerated concrete, so I'm wondering if there are any risks associated with putting up a new interior wall against the existing exterior wall made of aerated concrete. Can I use wood studs, or should I use metal? Do I need to have an air gap between the studs and the wall, or can they be placed flush against each other?
If using metal studs, how do you attach the plastic before putting up OSB + drywall?
What type of insulation should be used...Foam board, or is it okay to use regular interior wall insulation (glass/rock wool)?

You can use either one. Personally, I would use steel studs, but it's a matter of taste. You can mount the new wall flush, but if you place the new wall 10 mm away, you'll get better sound insulation. It's never wrong to have an air gap either.
Screw on the OSB, mount the plastic, and then the drywall on top of that.
