New front door and sidelights

how do I go about buying a door and sidelights for an opening in the wall that is 120 x 206 cm?
what dimensions should I choose for the frame, door, and sidelights? how does the installation of the sidelight work?
any kind soul willing to help me?:O

It is a bit smaller than standard so the sidelights need to be custom ordered. There was a thread recently about narrow sidelights and they were available at bygglagret. http://www.bygglagret.se/sidoljus/sl-321__300 but the price is double compared to standard. Look around a bit and see if you can find it cheaper.

Thanks for the response! I have looked around a bit and found a door 90x21 and sidelights 30. I think it should work if the dimensions are 10mm smaller...

Checked out the link a bit. Side lights seem unreasonably expensive.. but insulated glass probably costs quite a bit!

You can't open up so you get in standard? 9 is pretty narrow for the front door.

I have a brick-clad wooden frame, so it feels like there's more work than I want to do. So if the combination I have in mind works without extra work, I'm satisfied...

Just changed the front door and we skipped the sidelights, instead chose a door with a small window. With an opening as narrow as yours, I would choose a wider door because it's much more useful than a narrow sidelight.
We had sidelights in the old door which we now built over, having a wall in the hallway is more useful than glass panes that mostly worsen insulation and increase burglary risk.

206 in height, I understand that you probably want a 20 in height. It's possible to fit a 21, but there will likely be very little room for insulation around the door then.

I think a 120 door might be a bit too large, so I'll probably go for 90 + sidelights. The height 206 was when I measured from the threshold up. I guess the threshold is about 4 cm "high," so 210 will probably be the total. Thanks for all the tips!

How did you seal it after removing the sidoljus? I'm on the same path (skipping the sidoljus) but don't know how to fill the gap that will be left...

I just nailed and spiked the panel, on the inside I put up some drywall and my wife thanked herself for saving some wallpaper from when we renovated the hall before
I also built walls and a ceiling over the top part of the stairs so it was just a matter of continuing with the panel over the hole after the side light. I ran electricity to a lamp and put up a holder for a flower pot.
