Need sheet metal screw 7.5*20, What else works?
Hello!
I need to attach a sheet into a thicker sheet about 1mm and 3mm.
I need a sheet screw that is 7.5*20. (Pre-drilled hole 6.70 mm) Doesn't seem to be available that thick after googling...
What else works? Concrete screws are available in 7.5
Or should I drill new holes?
The issue arose because it was supposed to be a bolt with a nut but I can't access the back. Messed up...

Screen screws are made to be screwed into a speed nut. I can imagine that they are difficult to thread in 3 mm thick sheet metal.MultiMan said:

We have screws similar to screen screws at 8 mm, drill 6.5 and it holds tight in 3 mm sheet metal.
Add a dab of grease or cutting paste on the screw, so it cuts better into the metal.
We use an impact driver.
The hole in the 1 mm sheet metal should preferably be enlarged to 8 mm.
