Renovating the bathroom and would like to move the ventilation so it comes up above the new ceiling and then can exit through it.
A bit unsure of the best way to do this. Thought about making a new hole up to the existing ceiling. Push in a pipe or duct or something and then seal the old one. Could that be smart? What dimension should the pipe be?
Is this the kind of connection I should use in the wall? Or is there a better solution? Just a piece of pipe?
The black line in the picture is where the new ceiling will be.

It didn't get much response, and then I see that the link disappeared.
This was the review I was wondering about if I should use.

But I continue to ask. How do you resolve the outlet in the ceiling? Is there any finishing I can use that I can then attach a ceiling vent to? (Maybe should have a ceiling fan.)
Or do you just pull out a bare pipe?
Hoping for some fresh eyes and maybe some idea for a solution.

I connected a kitchen fan with a pipe to the wall and used this type of duct.S stefand said:It didn't get much response, and then I see that the link did indeed disappear.

But I'll keep asking. How do you solve the outlet in the ceiling? Is there any ending I can use to which I can then attach a ceiling vent? (Maybe should have a ceiling fan.)

The one you link to is designed to have a pipe mounted on it. The one I used has an inner diameter like a pipe, and I was able to attach a bend directly to the duct and then run my pipe from the other end of the bend.
The duct also accepted an exhaust air terminal device of this type if desired:

Depending on how you plan to run the pipes in the ceiling, you should be able to use one of the duct types for the wall and then finish the pipe installation with something like my first link out through the ceiling. You can then install an exhaust air terminal or a fan as you see fit.
