currently dismantling my old bathroom washstand but have hit a snag. What type of screws are these? Do I need special tools? Tried with a regular screwdriver but can't get a grip.

  • Close-up of two screws in a white bathroom cabinet wall with visible wooden support at the top and black tiled surface to the right.
  • Close-up of a metal screw head in a wooden surface, with a worn or unusual drive pattern, possibly requiring a specialized tool for removal.

Isn't that a screw stud? It looks like a PH2 slot at the top. If it is a screw stud, there is a nut behind it that you need to access to remove the vanity.
