Hello,

I am planning to mount a 55" TV on a wall.

The challenge is that there is a 70s-style solution in the new apartment, the entire wall is an OSB surface.

I used a stud finder and found the center of the studs about 45 cm apart. I would guess they are 2x2 studs since the detector indicates wood.

However, I can only anchor one of the two wall mounts to a stud, the distance is a bit too far to the next stud relative to the brackets.

My question to the pros is if it is OK to screw directly into the OSB board with 6x60 wood screws?

It is a Samsung The Frame 55 2022 with the accompanying slim wall mount.

The Frame isn't particularly heavy. It will be sufficient with one mount in a stud. The TV hangs directly against the wall without any outward pull.
If you want to be extra sure, you can cut away the wallpaper behind the weaker mount and glue it to the board as well.

If it's OSB it's fine, but it's not exactly a 70s solution, right?

However, if it's masonite or gypsum, you can't just screw the TV up without expansion anchors, molly bolts, or something similar.

should work but if you want to be safer, place a 1x1 molly at the top of the mount
looks like it's a wall from the 2000s framed c/c 450 mm

Just a painted OSB, no gypsum at all.

seems to be a wall from the 2000s with studs c/c 450 mm
Newly built apartment, so that's probably correct

Sorry, but what do you mean by 1x1?

one at the top in each bracket if there is no stud behind to fasten into

No, not excessively heavy, but I just want to make sure the board will hold it anyway.

e.g. M5x37mm Metalexpander 10-pk | HARD HEAD (jula.se)
Check that the thickness of the board matches the expander. Drill a hole and measure with a piece of bent wire or something similar. The thickness should match the distance between the collar of the expander and where the bend is. Probably 10 mm if it is a board.

If it's just one piece, there's no advantage to long screws; it might even be the opposite if the threads don't reach all the way to the screw head.

Yes, it's just one disc. Bauhaus suggested using 6x60 wood screws directly in.
