Should work to screw into the studs. Just hope that the position of the studs matches the optimal distribution of the hooks....

Two screws can work anyway, but the likelihood that you'll have to set them with expanders is probably high unfortunately.

I guess this is already resolved, but someone might come later to read the thread....

The rubber expanders shown in the picture are used for handrail mounts that don't have a plate with screw holes, but only have the round bar with a threaded hole against the wall. Possibly there is a plate without holes as well.

If you have a plate with holes, you use wood screws if you find the stud or have a wood board behind the drywall, otherwise drywall anchors.
