I have a lot of Finja mortar B left over. Is it possible to render with it? Previously, the mortar was called "Mur och Putsbruk B." Today they have a product called KC mur och Putsbruk B. Does anyone know what distinguishes KC mur och Putsbruk from Murbruk B?
Finja mortar B is a cement mortar, the only binder is Portland cement.
Finja KC masonry and plastering mortar B has cement and slaked lime as binders. The slaked lime makes the mortar more pliable, making it easier to plaster with.
I believe that KC mortar absorbs more water than pure cement mortar after use. The cement forms a dense gel and the lime does not when it sets.
