Built a cold storage shed with a metal roof last fall, mostly as rain protection for my smoker, which is used year-round. Exterior paneling up to the roof beams, leaving a gap both in front and back at the top of the shed. I chose to line the interior walls with MDF. In late fall, I discovered it was full of mold spots on the walls. Almost everything except the visible roof beams has gotten spots.
What should I do about this? Should I insulate the shed?
I don't want to replace the interior walls and end up with the same problem again, so I want a solution that will last for years.
Thankful for any help.
