Hello!
I'm going to replace an old door, including the frame and threshold, with a new one, but I'm unsure about which module size to choose. From what I understand, the selected module size should be just under (if not exact) the size of the hole in the wall, ensuring there is enough space between the frame and the wall for adjustments. If my hole in the wall is 88cm*208cm, I should choose a module size of 8*20. Is this correct, or have I messed things up again? :what:

Both right and wrong!
The module measurement is exactly what it claims to be, 8x20 is precisely 800x2000 mm, that is, the framed opening has those dimensions (or a few mm more). The door frame you are going to install will be about 5-15 mm shorter in both width and length.
You seem to have wall openings in the old standard, not the current module measurement. Either you buy doors and frames that fit well to these old measurements (which can be quite expensive), or you fit additional material to the opening so that the module measurement 8x20 will fit.

You can also raise the doorway a bit and install 9x21.
I had the old standard but luckily the width was at least a bit larger so I only needed to extend 2cm upwards in every doorway in the whole house. :x

Thanks for the answer! I don't want to tackle the door opening as everything is in cement and the wall is about 30 cm thick. Instead, I'll go with the module size 8*20 and thereby reduce the opening size to 800*2000mm. If I understood correctly, the frame with module size 8*20 will then be 5-15mm shorter in both height and width than this opening?
When there is so little missing, I would start by measuring vertically, horizontally & diagonally to check if all dimensions are "correct".
Is it an interior door or exterior door?
Is it a concrete wall?
Is there plaster on the walls in the door opening? If there is, you can chip away the plaster.
You don't need to remove the entire wall thickness, just the area where the door frame is to be placed.
I would try to chip away one or two centimeters in the door opening so that a larger door fits.
