Hi,
I have found the construction drawings for our new house from the 60s, and it states that the beams used have the dimensions inp 22, inp 16, and 14. I understand that this is an old "German" standard for steel beams, and the number corresponds to the number of cm in the web.

We are going to take down parts of a wall, and I wonder what inp 22 should be "translated" to in today's type of glulam or steel beams (which are called HEA?). So that the dimension is reasonably correct.

I turn to this forum in confidence!

HEA 200 with respect to the moment of inertia.

The question of steel quality may have some significance, but hardly if you replace INP 22 with HEA 200.

Thank you very much for the reply!
