I need to fill the hole left by two electrical boxes in the wall, meaning I need very little mortar. Do I really have to bring out the big bucket, hammer drill, and mixer to mix two deciliters, or is a "ice cream tub" and a stick enough? Or do I risk it not being mixed properly?

That's what I have done countless times and haven't noticed any problems with it!

Currently filling in block pavers, is there something you can fill up with, small stones or something, or is it just about adding a few cm a day? The instructions said max 15 mm. Or should I just be patient and start filling from the bottom and back until the hole is filled in a few days?

Fill with stone, brick, lightweight concrete, leca, or whatever you have available... can't be bothered to spend several days filling a couple of holes...

A cordless drill with a small paint mixer attachment, next to a bucket of mixed material.
Small-scale stirrer
