On Friday, we receive our fiskarhedenvillan house 1 ½ stories. Before that, nails and screws, etc. need to be purchased. Probably a dumb question, but what should I buy? Not so fun to show up with nubb when they actually want carriage bolts.
Aren't nails and such included in the delivery from FH? I seem to have heard that such things are included in their building kit...
Otherwise, mostly 3", 4", and 5" are used in a frame erection, preferably not shiny.

This sounds extremely strange. You've bought a modular house kit. The kit doesn't include nails, screws, or other fasteners, and it's your responsibility to get this, but you haven't received any instructions on what to acquire. Did I understand you correctly?tokan said:
I also thought it was included. But now that I got the delivery declaration, I can't find anything like that.Jesca_j said:
Fiskarheden does not send any nails. What is needed is galvanized (hot-dip galvanized) nails in bulk... 4" and 3" for the frame assembly. 5" might be useful, but probably not, as reinforcements in the form of joist hangers, angle brackets, etc., are used instead.
It is quite impossible to calculate exactly what quantities and dimensions we're dealing with, especially if it's brackets and angle irons involved. There are quite a few varieties...
You don't want to purchase unnecessarily many that then go unused. Nor do you want the construction to come to a halt with four carpenters at 500 kr/hour + a mobile crane at 2000 just standing and waiting while you frantically drive around looking for a special bracket.
Another thing: we're not talking about "hand nails," right? The carpenters are using nail guns, aren't they? So you also need to make sure the nails fit exactly the nail guns they have.
