I am planning to build up 3 walls that belong to the toilet and bathroom area in the basement, and this part is a 10 sqm extension to the house.
Since it’s a basement, I don't want to build walls on the inside and insulate, etc. The walls currently consist of cement hollow blocks, but I need to build them up about 80-100 cm more, and I'm not quite sure what material to choose.
The last option is Leca Isoblock, which seems to have good insulating properties. Is it a good option for me? But maybe more expensive than regular Leca blocks.. But if I choose Leca Isoblock, I'll probably have to remove some of the already existing cement hollow blocks?
And how thick does the wall need to be?
What do you think about this and how would you do it?
