Material for the wall in the laundry room?
Hi,
We are going to fix up the laundry room in our basement (not drained, so no wood, etc). The walls should be as similar as possible to the existing white walls. What should I consider when doing this work? I have no further insight, so all tips are appreciated.
If it turns out that plastering (as the article suggests) is difficult, I am open to just chipping away, sanding down, and painting. It doesn't matter much if the wall is uneven. But I want to understand if it affects anything regarding moisture, etc.
Thank you very much!

- Cold basement
- The builders will install ventilation
- I plan to follow this article for the plastering: https://www.dinbyggare.se/putsa-en-innervagg/ - anything else to consider here? Any particular choice of material considering that there might be moisture in the basement?
- When I paint later, what should I consider then? Any special paint for that too?

Plaster the entire wall at once, including the existing surface. Painting is done with silicate paint.
I heard something that you need a net, which you nail on. Is that correct?

Sure, a reinforcement mesh. It's probably in a guide. Like this one:
