As a new homeowner, this is my first question on the forum so please be kind.

I’ve bought a house with a lightweight concrete frame where the external walls are outside-brick-insulation-lightweight concrete-plaster-inside. I’m planning to build wardrobes along some of the exterior walls above ground. Since I’ve read that you might not want to place, for example, wood or gypsum directly against concrete walls, I’m wondering now how best to construct this. Should there be an air gap against the external wall? The idea is to cover most of the wall.
