Hello!
I'm renovating a room in my house built in '54. When I tore out a built-in wardrobe, I saw that the plaster had detached from the wall, and when I picked off the plaster, I discovered that the whole wall is loose.
Since I've already renovated the room on the other side, I don't want to tear down the wall completely. I obviously glued the plasterboard directly onto the plaster.
My thought is to plaster the wall with something that binds the stone again, frame on and plasterboard or alternatively plasterboard directly on, but which mortar should I use? The mortar that's there today mostly resembles sand and cracks immediately. It would be nice if one could mix some form of loose mortar that can creep into all the small cracks.
