Does anyone have tips on how to install long (about 5m) boards (tongue and groove) on the ceiling if you don't have an assistant to hold them up?
I don't dare rely on luck that they'll stay in place and not break any tongue/groove if I press them in and try to be quick.
Is it possible? If so, how?
I usually screw two battens against the glass, with a spacer so the ceiling panel can be slid in and sit there, then you can also slide in several and cut for any joints, about 1200mm overhang from the actual start, when you finally nail it, you can nail everything at once without having to climb up and down all the time.
