Long panel boards

Hello!

We want to install paneling in the hallway and kitchen and have heard that panel boards are a convenient option, both for installation and to avoid cracks due to the wood drying.

The problem is that we have a ceiling height of 2.60 and when I look around online, I only find panel boards that are 2350 mm long, thus adapted for a ceiling height of 2.40. Is there anyone on this forum who can help me find panel boards for higher ceiling heights?

How does splicing panel boards work, can it be done or does it look terrible? Naturally, I don't want the seams to be visible.

Do you have any other tips on how we should proceed to make it look nice?

Hi..
It can look really nice if you don't go all the way up to the ceiling but finish with a trim..
Then you can have two colors on the wall that match each other, it would look nice..
But try using real paneling instead so you get more life in the wall..
It is very difficult to splice so that it doesn't show, and then it becomes ugly..

I can only agree with the previous speaker. Avoid splicing. We did it in the kitchen in two places where we thought it wouldn't be visible. It didn't look good.

I contacted Brandéns and it turned out they can manufacture extra long boards. I definitely want to avoid having to splice. Thanks for the tips!
