Hello! Is there any general information regarding load-bearing walls in houses, such as if they are typically found in certain areas? We have two small inner hallways just inside the entrance, and we would like to tear down the walls that "stick out"/currently make the hallway very small (so we get more the feeling of one, not two, slightly larger hallways) - it's a bit difficult to explain, so I'm attaching a picture that will hopefully explain a bit more closely what we want to tear down. Is it "common" to have load-bearing walls in hallways, so one should think twice before tearing them down? Or should it be fairly safe to tear them down?

Load-bearing walls are primarily found in the middle of the house, usually not near exterior walls which are often also load-bearing. General principles are difficult to formulate as much depends on the construction methods. These construction methods are often tied to different time periods. The simplest way for you to get a useful answer is to upload a floor plan and provide some information about the year of construction.
