Had a small question that someone might be able to solve easily for me.

I have a wall that I might remove, now I would like to know if it is load-bearing or not.

The wall "stands" on a load-bearing beam in the crawl space, I think a load-bearing wall should stand on several beams in that case or am I completely wrong? I have another wall that runs through the entire ground floor (of course there are doors in it), this wall is positioned the other way and "stands" on several beams in the crawl space.

It's the wall that stands on one beam that I want to remove, what do you think?

Thankful for any answers

Jonas

Hi Jonas,

probably depends on how old the house is. Our house had a load-bearing "wall" that stands on a load-bearing floor beam, additionally supported in our old chimney, so we panicked after props when we demolished the chimney :D
