How do you attach the rule to a slanted roof??
I'm going to move the existing wall outwards to the outer wall... If I place a stud on the sloped ceiling, then the angle will be "wrong"
So you are supposed to set a new beam against the truss that is closer to the outer wall than today if I understand correctly... can't you just carve out a section with a chisel on the beams for the trusses so that they end up vertical? Or am I misunderstanding? (have a headache
)
Have you checked whether the truss can handle the outward movement of the support wall, and if so, how much? If not, consult with a structural engineer who can do a calculation for you, it wouldn't be fun if you move it too far and the truss gives way.opettersson said:
