Hi and thanks for the response. However, placing them side by side is not possible. I have additional insulation on the outer wall, so there is no mounting point on that side. I have bought some 45x70 studs. But if there are so many ways, give me a couple so I can get started.
A laser is very useful for jobs like this. and then you place your 45x70 next to the crooked battens/studs you have in the ceiling. the new studs are attached to the old ones with screws from the side. before they are screwed in, it's ensured, of course, that the new ones are straight

I had the same problem and did the following: I placed a new beam next to the old one. The new beam was not longer than necessary to fit between the existing walls. I drove two carriage bolts at each end through the new and existing beam. After that, you can choose to either cut the old beam or press it up from underneath and fasten it to the new beam with a couple of sturdy screws.
