Hello in the cabin
I have a room of 6 m2
The previous owner has laid tiles, looks terrible
There is about a 5 mm height difference between some tiles
The one who did this must have been really drunk or had poor eyesight 😂
Thinking of laying laminate, but how to get a reasonably even surface for a decent price.
Not planning to break it up
Self-leveling compound? Cost for 6 m2?
Frame it up?
What do the experts say

It shouldn't be too difficult to knock away the tiles if they're attached so poorly, I think.

They are sitting really tightly but at different heights.
Sure, you could chip them away maybe but then you'd need to get an even surface as well.
There is a concrete slab underneath.

Yes, but I think that with a crowbar it should be possible to pry them off and then rent a grinder and vacuum, but it's mostly because I personally wouldn't want to build upwards and get level differences and lost ceiling height unnecessarily.

Yep
Here it doesn't matter if it becomes a cm higher, will lay a transition strip
It's for a storage room so not very precise

It's for a storage room, so it's not super important.
Ok, but does it matter that it is different heights in a storage room then? Buy shelves with adjustable feet or wall mount everything and do something more fun with your life =)

It's a storage room in the house where we just keep stuff.
It would be nice to get the same flooring as the rest of the house.
We'll see if we come up with something sensible; otherwise, it will stay as it is.
We've had this for 20 years, so it's about time to tackle it haha
