Hello,

I have an upcoming kitchen wall that needs to be extended 45 mm due to some pipework, see picture. I will then put OSB + gypsum on it.

My somewhat silly question is whether I should leave a little airspace above the floor? Or should I put paper and a horizontal frame at the bottom? The purpose is just to extend the sheet material a bit.

And it's currently framed at 30 cm on center. Is cc60 sufficient when I extend the frame?

If an interior wall, I would frame CC 450 from the bottom up with 900 OSB horizontally without insulation and paper against the floor, the existing insulation should suffice as soundproofing.

It is an interior wall. I think I should attach the studs to the existing ones, right? Setting cc45 seems more difficult than cc30 in this case.

Yes exactly, screw the new ones into the existing ones.
