I will start framing the exterior walls of the new entrance I am building. The extension is not large, 2 x 3.5 m. The foundation consists of a cast slab in the basement and subsequently built-up lecablock walls.
But on the other axis, which the drawing does NOT show? What should the top plate rest on then? Two longitudinal floor joists, i.e., with only 8 cm between them? Or can the wall studs perhaps be placed directly on the bottom plate, or would that result in too much point load on the base wall then?
Thank you, that's what I thought too, (that's how you do it on slab on grade..), but I became a bit hesitant when I couldn't find a single drawing of it.
