Leftover mortar - How to dispose?

I haven't noticed any problems with the grass but now I'm using a lot of water as well.
I can imagine that the lime in the cement might even be beneficial for the grass.

The drain is really dumb, we've been messing around with plaster and mortar in the basement, and at first, we rinsed the tools (they were almost clean) in the sink. However, the mortar continues to harden, so after about six months, I was digging out large hard lumps from the floor drain even though we only flushed away "sand."

We use Biltema's woven bags, which we fill and take to the dump when we have the opportunity.
