How can I attach lecablock to asphalt? I have 4 pillars, 150 mm high, between which I will place the lecablock as a foundation for a storage shed. Can I drill holes in them and drive rebar into the ground? On top, I will place a sill.
When installing concrete curbstones, they are usually nailed to the asphalt, and there are also stones that are glued with tar or something similar. If it's just a shed you're dealing with, a rebar should work fine for anchoring in the asphalt; feel free to drive it a bit into the ground as well. Use syllpapp on the lecans then.
Keep in mind that the base layer under the asphalt is usually only designed to support the asphalt and cars that stop there temporarily. If you add weight on the asphalt, even if it's just a little, there is a risk of settling.
Ok, thanks for the tips. The driveway and the area where the storage shed will stand are newly asphalted with a bearing layer (new...) of 40 cm. Should be able to handle the storage shed, right? The piers that are on frost-free depth should also support the walls. The Lecablocken are mostly as a foundation wall. Am I thinking correctly?
