Hello.

I am going to build a retaining wall in Leca approximately 80 cm high. It will have two 135-degree angles that I will cut manually. How do I reinforce these in the best way? It will be a weak part of the construction. I thought about cutting one side of the "ladder" of the rebar and angling it, but it feels flimsy.

Anyone with tips?

That's what I've done.

Add a bit of extra reinforcement with overlap about half a meter in each direction if you're feeling worried. As an amateur, I've figured it's cheaper to over-reinforce than to hire a structural engineer, so I tend to choose that route. But it does require a certain intuition after all... redoing can be quite costly/time-consuming.

I would be more concerned about the pressure from the wall, lateral support to handle side forces?

Okay, go with that too.

As for the pressure from the ground, I've also worried a bit, but according to Finja it should work since it's not more than 80cm. The foundation will be Leca placed transversely so it forms an L-support.

Maybe I should use skalblock instead... just hard to stucco.
