Hello,

We live in a house with a flat roof and today we discovered a small water leak in the kitchen ceiling. The leak is about half a meter from the wall and I suspect it comes from a roofing sheet.

The entire roof was renovated just before we moved in in 2014, but what surprises me now is that water is accumulating on the actual roofing sheets. They should have an angle so that it runs down onto the roofing felt and doesn't collect water there, right? There is about 1 cm of water there now when it rains. However, to my knowledge, we haven't had any problems with this since we moved in 2014.

Does anyone have an idea what this could be due to?

Thank you in advance

/ Philip

  • Flat roof with rainwater pooling near edges and some leaves on the surface. Possible issue with roof drainage causing water accumulation.
You need to take photos from a longer distance if it's going to be possible to see what it even is...
