I have a concrete stairway that is cast against the basement wall (about 45 years old). The problem is that water leaks through the wall when it rains (masonry light concrete wall that has been plastered on the outside). The stairs have become quite worn over time and have plenty of small cracks where water seeps in and continues into the wall. Suggestions on how I can seal the wall and stairs.
I already have a simpler roof but I can't build over the entire staircase because above the staircase I have a window and the roof would thereby be too low to cover the entire staircase and to be able to descend the staircase. I would preferably like to see a solution so that the staircase becomes sealed.
Hello, There is waterproof one-component concrete paint and two-component epoxy if you don't want to use asphalt and tar. Painted a pool in Bali 4 years ago super smoothly!, and as far as I know, there are similar paints that can withstand our climate. Christian
