Laying pebble stones - Start with the wall or the floor?

I am going to install pebble stone in the bathroom and I'm wondering whether I should start with the wall or the floor first. Is it a matter of preference or is one preferred over the other for any reason?

First apply a waterproofing layer on the wall and one roller width out onto the floor. Then install the walls first. Next, apply a waterproofing layer on the floor that overlaps as far in as possible, and then lay the floor. This way, you won't damage the waterproofing on the floor while working with the walls. Ideally, you could waterproof the entire room and then start with the floor to protect the waterproofing, but you risk damaging the floor while doing the walls if you step on small shards and the like.

The entire room is waterproofed, and it's time to start with the stone. I was planning to start with the floor, but a neighbor said it was better to start with the walls. However, it sounds like the floor is preferable so as not to damage the waterproofing on the floor.

Yes, but keep in mind that it can get messy with grouting and then tiling the wall, so make sure to cover the floor properly when you are working on the walls. And ensure not to walk on the floor before the specified time, as some adhesives are quite slow. This is especially important with small tiles.
