I have an attic. Therefore, the floor is insulated. I want to lay flooring and store some things here, like skis, snowracer, and other items that can withstand moisture/cold.

The insulation is significantly thicker than the beams. That means it is not just insulated between the beams but also on top of them.
Therefore, it doesn't seem possible to lay flooring on the beams as it would compress the insulation.

Instead, I'm thinking of building a "raised floor"
The plan was to buy poles, around 45x45, and place them vertically through the insulation and attach them with angle brackets to the beams.
Then I thought I would lay new "beams" on my poles and then chipboard on them.

Will this work?
Are there simpler ways?

There was very little interest. Isn't this how you do it? ;)

Luckily, I trust my ideas :D
