Hello.
I have a ceiling beam/intermediate floor, the bottom part of a truss in a 1 1/2-story house built in 1946, which is sagging quite significantly, about 40mm at most.
The beam is 6x2" rough sawn, which means it's only about 150mm high. A wall for an upstairs bathroom rests on this beam.
The beam spans freely about 6m between the outer wall and the inner wall.

How would you go about straightening this?
Option 1 Buy a glulam beam 180mm and cut it down to 150mm and install it next to the existing beam?
Option 2 Screw and glue an (or two) 18mm plywood strip into a 45x170, cut down to 150mm and install it next to the existing beam?
Option 3 Something else, like an HEA beam or similar?

Best regards, Pielstick
