Better late than never, as they say.

I want to share how it went with my project to cast gate posts in concrete... in the end. I came across 8 shelves, 40 cm wide and 248 cm long, and built 2 molds which I reinforced the first round with 22 mm panels. In the second round, I secured them all around with 45x120 studs in 3 places on each mold.

At the same time the concrete truck came to pour 3 cubic meters in the basement, I dug 100 cm deep and arranged for an extra half cubic meter of concrete to fill the posts. The posts rise quite exactly 100 cm. The mold held without any problems, turned out smooth and nice now that I have painted a first coat of white. I'm currently choosing post lanterns and will paint another coat with white base paint, and possibly put the street number on the left post.

If I did it again, I would undoubtedly choose the same approach again, except I would use form-plywood for better durability. I'm super satisfied!
