I need help
I have a room where we removed the joist cavity due to moisture from a filled gutter. Now that we're putting everything back, several questions arise.
The old boards feel dry but smelled a bit (removed an old plastic mat that someone had thrown in the bottom that had molded), I've sprayed them with vinegar and bleach at different times. The boards are now odorless but have traces of white mold? and darker mold and have many holes from woodworm with light wood dust. Can I reuse these?
If not, I've demolished a ceiling where I have leftover narrower boards about 2-4 mm thinner. Can these be used?
The idea is to put plastic over the boards, then insulation, then tongue and groove, then parquet.
Anything else I should consider?
Extremely tight budget, what I've listed is building material I have at home.

If not, I have dismantled a ceiling where I have spare narrower boards about 2-4 mm thinner. Can these be used?

Welcome to the forum @BraBilligt!
It should be perfectly fine to reuse a used ceiling as 'trossbotten patches' if you're going to insulate with wood shavings or mineral wool. However, if you're going to use sand, cinder, or 'builder's fill' as beam insulation, you might need sturdier boards.
I suggest using forhydringspapp/Örnpapp instead of plastic. My experience is that you should avoid plastic in old houses as much as possible.

P
even if it might be white mold, it is not a white good...
