We are renovating a room in our brick house from 1962. We removed the vinyl flooring from the room yesterday and heard from a friend that there could be asbestos in the glue if it was black glue. The glue looks quite dark, do we need to worry? Almost all the glue remains on the floor, not much came out with the vinyl flooring.
It is probably likely that it is svartlim and therefore contains Asbestos :/ My advice is, as previously mentioned, absolutely do not sand the floor and I also think you should not replace the floorboards unless you bring in an Asbestos remover!
