In the process of moving a door opening in our house from 65.
The inner wall consists of a tough cardboard-like material. Behind it is tongue and groove wood.

Should I be worried? I've never worked in older houses before.

Looks like an ordinary masonite board or tretex. There is no asbestos in these.

Yep, it's Tretex, you can rest assured.

Thank you for the good answer, then it's just a matter of continuing to work.

If you find anything else in your demolition and you see small hairs reminiscent of those from a short-haired dog, you should be cautious. However, you usually find asbestos in other areas when demolishing indoors. Bathrooms, old pipes, and ventilation are the usual suspects.
