Opened the wall. Then noticed how they had attached the sink.

It feels a bit unsettling that they have fixed the bolts with nails. Now that I'm going to replace the sink, I partly don't know if they will have the same fittings and say they do have the same fittings, what if the nails come loose and the bolt spins.

Is this usually done this way or should I take the opportunity to change something?

Normally, you don't have a bolt nut but rather thicker studs like 45 mm and then French screws.

why?
they've probably had the nails there so that the bolt doesn't fall out of the wall if you change the sink maybe.
there must have been a nut or something on the other side
