Is there anything like Knauf "Trenn-Fix" in Sweden?
Hello,
I am from Germany and we are building here in Sweden. My Swedish is unfortunately not so good yet.
We are installing drywall in the house and at the connection between the ceiling and walls, I thought of using a "separating tape" that I am familiar with from Germany. However, I couldn't find such tape, and I don't know what it's called in Swedish. Or is it simply not used here?
Knauf Trenn-Fix
The German description is translated by Google as:
"Knauf Trenn-Fix is a 65 mm wide special paper strip for component separation, which effectively avoids the typical shadow cracks at component connections. Knauf Trenn-Fix is used as a separating strip for connecting gypsum surfaces to solid components, between gypsum surfaces to achieve a smooth separation."
Thank you in advance and best regards!

There are lots of good building materials abroad, but they never gain a foothold here because Swedish carpenters are the best and do things the way they've always done. We do it right and everyone else does it wrong, kind of............
But it's the same in Germany, where craftsmanship is very traditional. I asked a German carpenter who was trained 20 years ago, and he didn't know about that tape either. And many new inventions only help building markets earn more money....S Stefan1972 said:
But that "Trenn-Fix" is really a good thing!

The carpenters I hired installed metal angles behind the drywall in the corners and finished with caulk.

The more I look at the instruction, the less I understand the tape's function: it doesn't meet the drywall that comes in at 90 degrees (stands 5mm), then the gap is filled and then the tape is cut clean/removed. What is the function of the tape?
