We have now torn down plaster walls on the ground floor that were attached with a metal frame. We would also like to remove these studs but we are unsure if they are load-bearing. We have cut off a bit of the plaster ceiling and found that there is a large beam resting on it where I have marked in red (The beam is the same size as the dark brown one further towards the hallway in the pictures). This is a 2-story villa. The stud is approximately 100x100.

Completely impossible to assess without drawings, plans from both floors and sections are needed. It seems a bit inconsistent with both glulam beams + columns (dark-painted) and quite thick regular timber. I don't think you should tear down as much as you have without first checking what might be load-bearing. Didn't you think the house might collapse?
The other houses in the same row have torn down the exact same walls that we have torn down now, so we have been very sure about these. Unfortunately, there are no construction drawings, but we had skilled carpenters here today who have inspected for us, so we feel secure now. Thank you for your answers!
If you try logging into lantmäteriet and "min fastighet," your drawings might be there. Such things are usually available. Prior to major renovations like yours, they are invaluable!V Vicksaperol said:The other houses in the same row have demolished the exact same walls as we have now demolished, so we have been pretty sure about these. Exactly, which is why we haven't torn down any beams, only walls with thin metal studs at the moment. Just so you don't misunderstand me.Stefan N said:
When I now read the post afterward, I realize it can be misunderstood. We have NOT cut off anything we are unsure about.V Vicksaperol said:We have now torn down drywall on the ground floor that was mounted with a metal frame.
