Interior view of wooden wall with rafters, showing vertical planks and a ceiling fixture. Discusses whether wall is load-bearing in renovation context. Hi

We are going to demolish the wall between the kitchen and living room and are now wondering if it is load-bearing. The wall is made of standing rawspont and studs 34x34. The top stud against the ceiling appears to be only attached to the ceiling joists and not to the standing rawspont, which leads me to believe that the wall is not load-bearing. The stud against the ceiling is also only 34x34, which is weak if it were load-bearing.

I would tear that down with a clear conscience!
