Maybe wrong section, the moderator will decide.

In connection with the renovation where the floor/walls were torn up, the craftsmen began to lay loose chipboard over the floor beams to stand on during the renovation.

The problem is that these chipboards were left outside in the rain with soil on them, and once indoors, all the chipboards began to get mold on the edges that had previously been against soil outdoors; the room itself has never had mold problems.

The question is: Can these chipboards "infect" the indoor material?

We'll run this in Byggmaterial instead!

I find that very hard to believe. Mold, like other unpleasant fungal attacks, must have certain living conditions such as moisture and warmth to spread on organic material. If the house is built as it should be, there shouldn't be any problems. If it isn't built as it should be, the mold will probably find its way there sooner or later...

However, I am very much an amateur in this field - an expert should give you a clear answer.

You don't need to worry about that. It has to be the right environment for it to mold, and after you've thrown out the wet spånskivor, the problem is out of the world.
