Yes, but you'll probably need a support wheel.
However, there's a high risk that the gate will become "flimsy/wobbly"...

It's possible, but the question is how practical it is? I built my own gate last year, it's 4 meters wide, in a classic country style. It's a fairly airy model, but still weighs quite a bit. Along with the leverage effect, a sturdy gate post is required to prevent it from sagging. The length also makes it awkward to walk through; it has to swing open a lot for you to squeeze past the post.
For me, having two gates was not an option, locking in the middle is harder to get right, and you have to open and close two halves instead of one gate.

That said, I wouldn't have wanted another meter on the gate. It's stable horizontally, but the long wooden crossbars cause it to twist lengthwise, so it can't handle just anything. A five-meter-long metal gate, on the other hand, would weigh hundreds of kilos...

Five meters is a lot, must be a special vehicle that requires that width?

I would opt for a sparse metal gate if you need to have a gate. It won't be so terribly heavy. Having two gate halves instead is much better.

Another option if you have flat ground is to have a rolling gate that slides to the side instead.
