I sawed wood for my garage a little over a year ago and plan to set up the frame and roof in the coming weeks. Some of the wood (spruce) has turned black. On some boards, almost the entire one side can be nearly black. The wood has been protected from rain, so it's completely dry. What could the black be? And what should one do in that case? Should one avoid using the wood, or is it just aesthetic?

If it has been dry, it's probably just aesthetic.
