Looking for fascia boards 170/22mm for the build and to avoid splicing, 8m lengths would be ideal. The roof is 7.60.
It seems like 7.20 is some kind of standard as it's available at many lumberyards, but no one can provide the length I'm looking for.
Is it just a matter of giving up and splicing, or is there a supplier that sells 8m?

If it's not available at the hardware stores, I would talk to a local sawmill or farmer who cuts wood, although it's not very likely that they have such long logs drying. But it can happen.

Not exactly an answer to your question, but at my Bolist store, I discovered a kind of board last week that was primed and had straight edges on all sides but had tongue and groove on the short ends. I asked what it was, and it was apparently a manufacturer that had developed it for people who need long windboards. However, they were thicker than 22mm, maybe 28mm—I can't remember. It was apparently to prevent the joint from warping.

As I said, I know this isn't an answer to your question or if this is what you meant by splicing the windboards.

Thank you very much, yes actually the boards are not that long as they are joined at the factory, the carpenter told me. I have spoken with the local saw that also did contract work for some wholesale company that sold fascia boards in one piece. However, this business was shut down a few years ago.
